20 years of passionately pursuing a hunger-free MHC

Feeding the Need

Educating the Community

Reducing Food Waste

We solicit, and safely warehouse, groceries to distribute to local families living below the poverty line. Our food programs focus on our community's children, the working poor, disabled, senior citizens, and those otherwise disadvantaged.  We foster personal responsibility and build relationships to improve the quality of life for those who seek our help.

Reducing Food Waste

Every week we collect thousands of pounds of food:  produce, dairy, meat, bakery goods, and shelf-stable items from local grocers. Hundreds of thousands of pounds of high-quality, nutritious food that's close to its shelf date, would otherwise be discarded is rescued and ultimately delivered to where it's needed most.

Educating the Community

We have a 16,000 square-foot thrift store (the organization's largest fundraiser) which doubles as a training site for federal and state programs, from individuals currently on welfare being rehabilitated into the workforce, to seniors needing recent job references and skillsets.  Our store accepts donations, consignments, and is open to booth rentals!

To feed those in need, reduce food waste, and educate the community on the issues of hunger and nutrition.

A community where everyone has access to good quality, nutritious food, and everyone is committed to creating a stronger, healthier MHC.

Integrity. Stewardship. Teamwork. Respect. Innovation. Empathy. Passion. Empowerment.

We believe the root causes of hunger must be addressed to realize our long-term goal of eliminating hunger.
