As a Lobby Host, you’ll help create a welcoming and positive first impression for everyone who visits Community Storehouse. Volunteers serve on a weekly rotation — every Tuesday, every Wednesday, or every Saturday — assisting guests, shoppers, donors, and community members as they enter our facility.
In addition to greeting visitors and answering basic questions.
Lobby Hosts assist with client phone calls, scheduling appointments, directing individuals to the appropriate areas, and helping support the daily flow of operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, providing hospitality, staying organized, and offering compassionate assistance to those we serve.
By serving as a Lobby Host, you become an important ambassador for Community Storehouse and help support our mission to fight hunger, strengthen our community, and ensure every individual who walks through our doors feels welcomed, respected, and cared for.

As a Cleanliness Coordinator, you’ll help ensure Community Storehouse remains clean, organized, and welcoming for the thousands of individuals who visit our facility each year. Volunteers in this role assist with maintaining common areas, refreshing restrooms, tidying the sales floor, organizing workspaces, and helping create an environment that is safe, comfortable, and inviting for customers, clients, volunteers, and staff alike.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping spaces neat and presentable, notices the small details that make a big difference, and enjoys hands-on work that directly supports our mission. A clean and organized environment helps us better serve our community and creates a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

As a Clothing Department Assistant, you’ll help keep our Ladies, Men’s, and Children’s departments organized, stocked, and easy to shop. Volunteers in this role assist with placing clothing on the sales floor, organizing items by department and size, straightening displays, and helping ensure merchandise is presented neatly and appropriately throughout the store.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, working hands-on, and helping create an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers. Attention to detail is important, as properly sized and organized displays help shoppers easily find what they need while supporting the overall appearance and success of our store.
By serving as a Clothing Department Assistant, you directly support Community Storehouse’s mission by helping maintain a welcoming retail environment that funds programs fighting hunger and serving families throughout our community.

As a Donation Center Assistant, you’ll help support one of the most important parts of Community Storehouse — receiving the donations that help fund our programs and serve our community. Volunteers in this role assist donors with unloading items from their vehicles, provide a friendly and appreciative experience, and help ensure incoming donations meet our organization’s donation guidelines.
Donation Center Assistants help inspect items for condition and usability, organize incoming donations, and assist with maintaining a safe, orderly, and efficient donation area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, staying active, and helping keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
By serving as a Donation Center Assistant, you play a direct role in supporting Community Storehouse’s mission to fight hunger and strengthen our community by helping transform donated goods into resources that make a lasting impact.
